Sausage-Egg Breakfast Dish Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 ounces) of sage-flavored sausage
  • Pinch of pepper
  • 6 eggs
  • 1½ cups milk
  • 4 cups cubed stale bread
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

Procedure

  1. Brown sausage and sprinkle with pepper.
  2. Drain off excess fat, and let sausage cool.
  3. Beat eggs and add milk.
  4. Fold in cubes of stale bread, cheese, and cooled sausage.
  5. Pour into and 8 by 8-inch baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  6. Refrigerate for at least an hour (or freeze for later).
  7. Preheat oven to 325°F. Bake for 1 hour.
  8. Cool and cut into squares.
