Penne with Hearty Meat Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 package (20 ounces) Italian sausage
  • 1 can (26½ ounces) meat-flavored spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
  • ½ cup hot water
  • 8 ounces dry penne pasta, cooked according to package directions
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese

Procedure

  1. Remove casings from sausages.
  2. Cook sausage in large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled; drain.
  3. Stir in spaghetti sauce, tomato paste, and water.
  4. Add pasta and stir until well coated.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, simmer over low heat 10 minutes or until heated through.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese.
