Salty (Namkin) Lassi Recipe

Lassi are yogurt-based beverages in either sweet or salted flavors. The most common flavors include mango, rose water, and plain sugar-sweetened lassi.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups (1 L) yogurt
  • 3 cups (750 ml) cold water
  • Fresh green chile peppers (quantity according to taste), chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds, roasted and ground
  • 3 tbsp lime or lemon juice
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup (250 ml) crushed ice

Procedure

  1. Combine all ingredients except ice in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Add ice and continue blending until frothy.
